Police: York man ran into police car, tried to strike officers during escape from authorities

YORK, Pa. — A York man is facing multiple charges after police say he led authorities on a high-speed car chase through the city, striking multiple vehicles — including a police car — as he fled.

Victor Jocktane, 28, is charged with nine felony counts of aggravated assault by vehicle, three felony counts of escape, and two felony counts of institutional vandalism, along with multiple misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment, escape, resisting arrest, fleeing from police, and accidents involving property damage.
