HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — A local realty company donated money to the nonprofit that is running the community where many of Harrisburg’s homeless population lives as winter approaches.
Harrisburg-based Keller Williams Realty presented a $1,000 check to Amiracle Community, which is located off Cameron Street.
The founder of Amiracle4sure, Marsha R. Curry, said as of now, the nonprofit does not have a plan on how to keep tents covered this winter and it will need help to keep the unhoused warm.
“We don’t have a surefire plan on how we are going to keep these tents covered in the wintertime,” Curry said. “So, just as Keller Williams took a risk to raise the money and put it toward supporting the work we’ve been doing, I think it’s important to ask the community if they would, at least do that for us.”…
