York man will serve 105 months in federal prison for possession of firearm by a felon

HARRISBURG, Pa. — A York man will serve more than nine years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession of a firearm by a felon, U.S. Attorney Brian D. Miller announced Friday.

Dereese Williams, 32, previously pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm following a felony conviction exceeding one year in prison, Miller said in a press release.

In 2021, Williams fled from a traffic stop by Pennsylvania State Police, according to Miller. After crashing his car, Williams fled on foot. When he was captured, he was found to be in possession of two handguns…
