Woman helped York man flee with missing baby after violent attack on pregnant mom: police

A 21-year-old woman admitted to being the getaway driver who helped a York man flee the area with a 6-month-old girl last week after a violent attack on the baby’s mom, police said.

Hallam resident Alexis Moore told investigators she went past road signs telling drivers to keep a lookout for her black Nissan Altima on Thursday as she drove Pedro Vega-Rivera, 31, and 6-month-old Amiyah Rivera from York to Duncansville, in Blair County, state police wrote in an affidavit of probable cause.

Vega-Rivera took Amiyah by force from her pregnant mother during a Thursday domestic attack on Carlisle Avenue, court documents said. Police said Vega-Rivera strangled Amiyah’s mother until she passed out, kicked her and threatened to kill her. He also threatened to hurt Amiyah if she called 911, police said…
