Suspect Arrested in Harrisburg Arson Cases

A suspect has been arrested in connection with two arson incidents on the 500 block of Woodbine Street in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on Friday (November 21). The fires, which occurred in vacant apartments in the Camp Curtin neighborhood, were quickly extinguished by the Harrisburg Fire Department, and no injuries were reported.

According to Harrisburg Fire Chief Brian Enterline, the fires were intentionally set in the Governor’s Square Apartments complex, which consists of vacant “zombie buildings” that pose additional risks for firefighters. Enterline praised the community’s quick response, stating, “As our guys were pulling in, witnesses grabbed our guys and said this other house is on fire too. So, we were able to simultaneously put both fires out.”

The suspect was reportedly seen leaving one of the affected buildings and was taken into custody shortly thereafter. Authorities are still questioning the individual to determine their involvement in the fires. Chief Enterline confirmed to CBS 21 that the fires are being investigated as arson…
