Shannon Steckbeck Arrested For Fourth PA Bank Robbery

Shannon Eric Steckbeck, 59, of Harrisburg, walked into the First National Bank at 55 Arsenal Road on Friday, Nov. 21, at 10:06 a.m., according to the release. Bank employees told officers the man first asked for something to write on, but became flustered when another customer entered. He left the bank, returned minutes later, and approached a teller asking if she could “do him a favor.”

Steckbeck then instructed her to give him “everything in the drawers” and warned her not to activate the panic alarm, police said. He suggested he had a weapon, though none was shown. He fled toward North George Street with an undisclosed amount of cash and got into a nearby vehicle before driving north.

Officers identified Steckbeck within hours. He was believed to be operating a black Volkswagen sedan registered in Pennsylvania. Early the next morning, officers found the vehicle parked outside the Inn of York on Arsenal Road. Steckbeck wasn’t inside the hotel. A continued search led police to the Days Inn at 334 Arsenal Road, where he was taken into custody without incident on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, the department said…
