‘I wasn’t ready to meet God’: Woman thanks stranger for saving her life after I-83 crash

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A routine drive turned into a life-or-death struggle for a York County woman who found herself trapped upside-down inside a wrecked car on I-83. And now, she’s thanking the stranger who risked her own life to pull her to safety.

Pamela Baumgartner says she was the passenger in a car that hydroplaned and slammed into a brick wall before flipping over on the highway. With traffic rushing toward them, Baumgartner feared the worst.

“We flipped over and we started rolling,” Baumgartner said. “I closed my eyes and kept praying because I saw death.”…
