York man sentenced to prison for impersonating Deputy U.S. Marshal

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A York County man was sentenced to prison after impersonating a Deputy U.S. Marshal.

According to the United States Department of Justice, Jaimie Lynn Cummings, 52, of York County, was sentenced to 40 months in prison for impersonating an officer of the United States and a firearm offense.

Cummings pleaded guilty to falsely impersonating a Deputy U.S. Marshal and illegal possession of a short-barreled firearm. The DOJ said the charges stemmed from an incident on September 20, 2023, where Cummings showed up at the Northern York Regional Police Departmentwearing what appeared to be a U.S. Marshal badge, tactical gear, and possessing a firearm.
