Over $1.2M in grant funding secured for public safety across Dauphin County

State Rep. Justin Fleming (D-Dauphin County) announced Wednesday that more than $1.2 million in new grant funding from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency is being awarded to five organizations across the county.

The Children’s Advocacy Centers of Pennsylvania (CAC) will receive $400,000 to support local centers, provide specialized consultation and training for counties that do not yet have a CAC, and cover essential operational needs such as staff salaries and administrative costs.

Fleming spent 18 years advocating for child safety and mental health and previously served on the board of Dauphin County Court Appointed Special Advocates, according to a press release. Improving the lives of children across the commonwealth has long been one of his top priorities…
