Derry Township PD welcomes new K9 to force

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — A Dauphin County police department has a new, four-legged recruit.

Derry Township Police welcomed K9 Ziek, a 1-year-old Dutch Shepherd, to the department.

According to police, Ziek and his handler, Officer Todd Houser, completed the five-and-a-half-week K9 Academy at Iron Rose K9 in Boiling Springs, Cumberland County. Through the North American Police Work Dog Association, Ziek and Houser are a certified Patrol/Narcotics K9 Team…
