(WHTM) — More than 900 animals found their forever homes via a Mega Adoption event that included the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area and the Brandywine Valley SPCA’s Lancaster location.
The Brandywine Valley SPCA said 943 adoptions took place over the two day event at their shelters and other participating shelters across the Mid-Atlantic Region.
“What an amazing two days for pets in need. So many families didn’t let the weather stop them from coming out to give these great companions a second chance, across our campuses, including new locations in Lancaster, Dover and Washington, D.C., and partner locations who joined our cause,” said Adam Lamb, BVSPCA Chief Executive Officer. “Updates from families are already flooding in, sharing their new cat or dog’s first hours at home, and their stories of how this has changed their lives too.”…
