Harrisburg City Council rejects 25% pay increase

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Elected officials in Harrisburg, including Mayor Wanda Williams (D), will not get pay raises next year.

Williams proposed a 25% increase for most elected offices, which would have come into effect for the next term. But after tabling the proposal last week, Harrisburg City Council voted 5-2 on Monday to reject the raises.
