LYKENS, Pa. — A Dauphin County woman has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child in connection to the drowning death of her 10-month-old child in August, according to State Police.
Sadie Marie Ressler, 32, of Lykens, was charged Monday at the conclusion of an investigation into the death of her child, who died of drowning while bathing with a 2-year-old sibling on the night of Aug. 14.
Police say Ressler initially claimed she had been seated on the bathroom floor and scrolling through her phone while the victim and her sibling were bathing together in the bathtub. Ressler said she was unable to see into the tub from her position on the floor, according to police.
