HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — A Harrisburg academy was temporarily placed on lockdown Thursday morning after a weapons threat was supposedly made on a school bus.
In a statement, the Harrisburg School District addressed the situation
“Today at approximately 8:25 am, Marshall Math Science Academy went on lockdown due to an alleged threat that a student made on the school bus of bringing a weapon to the building. Upon learning of the alleged threat, the principal followed District procedures and protocols, and appropriate safety and security measures were taken to address the matter. After interviewing the student in question and conducting a thorough search, it was determined that there was no credible threat to Marshall Math Science Academy. In addition, Harrisburg Police arrived on scene, spoke to the principal, assessed the matter, and confirmed that there was no credible threat.”…
