On Wednesday at 2:17 a.m. a winter storm watch was released by the National Weather Service valid from Friday 7 a.m. until Saturday 7 a.m. for Northern Clinton, Northern Centre, Southern Centre and Southern Clinton as well as Warren, McKean, Potter, Cameron, Huntingdon, Mifflin, Juniata, Fulton, Franklin, Union, Snyder, Perry, Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York and Lancaster counties.
The weather service comments, “Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow and sleet accumulations up to two inches and ice accumulations between one tenth and three tenths of an inch possible.”
“Hazardous travel conditions are likely. Plan on slippery road conditions. Power outages and tree damage are possible due to the ice. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes,” describes the weather service. “Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.”
