Lebanon County Commissioners finalize 2026 budget with tax increase

The Lebanon County Commissioners voted 2-1 to finalize a $113.828 million budget that includes a tax increase for 2026.

During their meeting Dec. 24, commissioners approved a 0.20-mill increase for next year, setting the millage rate at 4.5925 mills for 2026. The last tax hike was in 2024 when the millage rate was raised to 4.3925 mills.

The average market value of homes throughout Lebanon County is just above $350,000, according to officials. Most homeowners with that value would see their taxes increased by $37.91 next year. Homes valued at $200,000 would see a $21.66 increase, and homes valued at $500,000 would see a $54.15 increase…
