The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, 866-366-3723, uses a risk-based inspection reporting process for restaurants and other food handlers.

Basil Leaf Thai Cuisine, 5202 Simpson Ferry Road, Mechanicsburg, Dec. 19. Pass. The floor under the cooking equipment has a large amount of grease along the coving and is in need of cleaning. Observed six to eight sauces in the walk-in cooler stored open with no covering; corrected on site. Old, unused equipment stored in kitchen area should be removed from food facility. Observed the following food contact surfaces not clean to sight or touch: handheld juicer, two can openers, two knives; corrected on site. Observed the following non food contact surfaces not clean to site or touch: rack between wok and stove, exterior of the two white bins holding rice/flour in need of deep-cleaning, exterior of the ice machine at service counter needs cleaned.
