Perry County commissioners recognized Jim Scott on Dec. 15 for reaching 10 years of service with the county. Scott, who serves as director of Veterans Affairs, was praised by commissioners for his dedication and for the positive feedback they regularly receive from veterans and residents he assists.
Scott thanked the commissioners and county staff for their support, saying the past decade had gone by quickly and that it had been an honor to work with county employees and veterans. He remarked that finding a job one truly enjoys makes work feel less like work, adding that his role had been both rewarding and meaningful.
The budget includes estimated expenses of $37,256,690 and estimated revenue of $39,873,051.
