PennDOT Lifts Vehicle Restrictions Across Southcentral Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has lifted all vehicle restrictions and most speed restrictions on roads in the southcentral PennDOT District 8 region, which includes Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties.

The restrictions had been implemented during a winter storm to help keep interstates open under difficult travel conditions. The vehicle limits reflected Tier 3 of the commonwealth’s weather event vehicle restriction plan.

Most speed and right-lane-only commercial vehicle restrictions have also been lifted. However, speeds remain reduced to 45 mph on Interstate 78 and on Interstate 81 north of Interstate 78…
