With the new year comes new stores and new businesses opening in south-central Pa.
Hospitals, a large discount store, a Starbucks, two Wawas, two Sheetz stores and an early learning center will be among the new locations opening in 2026.
Here’s a look at what’s opening in Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster and York counties in 2026.
Adams County
Straban Township
UPMC is expanding services at the UPMC Outpatient Center at 20 Expedition Trail. A new suite will open on Jan. 5, with additional services continuing to move in through January and early February. Once complete, the suites will include primary care, cardiology, pulmonary and sleep medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, gastroenterology, weight management, urology, and ENT, as well as lab services and cardiovascular and pulmonary testing.

East Pennsboro Township
Penn State Health plans to relocate the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute’s behavioral health inpatient services to Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in September 2026 fro its current location on Third Street in Harrisburg.
