Communities across PA to get hundreds of thousands in funding for traffic improvements

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — Communities across south-central Pennsylvania are among those set receive hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding to improve traffic flow and safety.

The Shapiro Administration announced Tuesday that 57 municipalities across the state will receive nearly $30 million to improve existing traffic signals, thanks to the Green Light-Go Program.

Many of the funded projects will upgrade traffic signal detection and control technology, allowing signals to respond to real-time traffic conditions, reduce congestion, and improve safety for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists…
