‘Master manipulators’ make human trafficking hard to see as cases rise in central Pa.

One of Jordan Pine’s first encounters with human trafficking involved an 8-year-old girl who was being trafficked by her mother.

The girl never went missing and never missed school, even as her mother sex trafficked her to a string of men in their own home.

“Mom was addicted to drugs and was trying to get that next fix and pay off her dealer so this little girl would be greeted typically by men that were waiting for her at home,” said Pine, founder and CEO of Greenlight Operation, an advocacy organization that works with survivors of human trafficking in Pennsylvania…
