HARRISBURG, Pa. — A house fire visible from Interstate 83 drew a fast response from Lower Paxton Township firefighters Friday morning, after passing drivers called 911 to report flames near the highway.
Fire crews arrived on South Arlington Avenue to find heavy fire on both floors of the home. One occupant had already escaped, officials said. The Bureau of Fire reported that the home did not have working smoke detectors and that the resident woke to smoke and flames.
