Harrisburg mayor testifies, then stays to ‘hear their lies’ during tense 6-hour hearing

A frigid day outside the Dauphin County Courthouse did nothing to cool the heated court hearing inside between Harrisburg Mayor Wanda Williams and the City Council.

The six-hour hearing — from 9:30 a.m. to almost 3:30 p.m. — cost the city’s taxpayers a little over $10,000. They broke twice, later Wednesday morning for 15 minutes, and also from noon to 1:30 for lunch.

At one point, there were at least 33 people, including the attorneys, both parties, the judge, and reporters in the courtroom…
