HARRISBURG, Pa. — As a major winter storm could impact central Pennsylvania this weekend, staff at Harrisburg International Airport say they are already preparing for possible delays and cancellations.
Airport officials said maintenance crews have spent days inspecting and fueling vehicles, stocking de-icing chemicals, and ensuring equipment is ready ahead of the storm.
“What we’ve done is our maintenance staff has gone through every vehicle we have,” said Scott Miller with Harrisburg International Airport. “We’ve topped it off with fuel. We have de-icing chemicals here. We have salt deliveries coming. All the oil’s been changed. Now it’s just a waiting game.”…
