Several tents collapsed at a homeless encampment in Harrisburg under the weight of Sunday’s record snowfall, but residents had the option of escaping into two heated buildings on the property.
More than 100 people live in tents at the Amiracle4sure Community, which opened last year to create a safe place for the unhoused after their prior space in a wooded area near PennDOT headquarters was cleared out for a highway expansion.
