HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — A Harrisburg ministry that serves the homeless is asking the public for help after it says its bank account was hacked.
Impact Ministries said in a press release that it relies entirely on donations to do its work. But after its bank account was recently “compromised by hackers,” the ministry said it’s left with limited resources to help those out in the cold.
“While the bank is working diligently to recover the stolen funds, the setback has already had a devastating impact,” Impact Ministries wrote in a press release Monday. “Due to the financial loss, the ministry will be unable to serve the usual hot meal to the homeless tonight—a painful decision for a group that prides itself on never turning anyone away.”…
