Police officer with roots in Harrisburg Bhutanese community killed in weekend shooting

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — The Harrisburg Bhutanese-Nepali Community is mourning the loss of one their members– 25-year-old Pradeep Tamang, a police officer in Georgia who was killed in the line of duty Sunday.

According to a post from the Gwinnett County Police Department, Officer Tamang and Master Police Officer David M. Reed were dispatched to a fraud call around 7:30 a.m. at a Holiday Inn.
