Harrisburg dog rescuer who’s helped dozens now seeks help for her own

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — Harrisburg native Mia Semuta has changed the lives of close to 60 dogs in the community. Alongside her career, she also worked as a dog trainer on the East Coast.

Semuta takes foster dogs into her own home for two to three months, feeding, training, and preparing them for adoption in hopes of giving them the best chance possible at being adopted and kept long-term.

Now she is the one in need of help. Her dog, Autumn, a therapy dog for domestic violence victims, is fighting an autoimmune disease…
