We’ve called for mediation before, and we’re repeating that call now. The city of Harrisburg needs a mediator, and it needs one without delay.

Both the mayor and city council members should sit down and work out their differences like responsible leaders and not throw away taxpayer money in courtroom battles.

Judge Jeff Engle has listened to the arguments on both sides and has ruled that Harrisburg City Council acted within its legal authority to deny funding for four positions in the administration. Judge Engle ruled a mayor may propose a budget, but the City Council “may or may not adopt” it…
