Man threatens to burn people at Carlisle business, returns with lighter fluid: police

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Middlesex Township police were called to a Carlisle business where a man was reportedly threatening to light people on fire.

On Feb. 12, the police arrived at the 1000 block of Harrisburg Pike and made contact with the man, identified as 58-year-old Ronald Hockenberry, according to a news release.

A store employee told the police that Hockenberry claimed to have set people on fire in the past and left the store to buy lighter fluid. He later returned with lighter fluid and was making other “concerning statements.”…
