Palmyra Borough Council members called for a study of plowing procedures as residents continued voicing concerns after a major snow storm.
A few residents took time out of the Feb. 10 council meeting to continue addressing concerns about borough workers’ handling of the January snow storm, saying crews were not thorough in clearing roadways and making lanes safe for travel. Resident David Heine told council members that three days after he came to the Jan. 27 meeting, he was almost involved with a head-on collision with a minivan turning onto Hetrick Avenue because of the condition of the roads.
“The borough should be embarrassed at the tax dollars spent on the snow cleanup effort,” he said. “Fun fact, after last meeting a local member of the community with available resources donated his time, equipment and fuel to clean up our post office, Forge St. Elementary child drop off area and other places around town. … We owe him a debt of gratitude and a tank of gas.”…
