Local students compete in LEGO robotics state championship

PALMYRA, Pa. (WHTM) — Three-dozen teams from across Pennsylvania took part in the third annual FIRST LEGO League Challenge state championship this weekend, vying for a spot in the World Championship in Houston.

The Krypton Kittens from Hershey earned a spot in this weekend’s contest.

“We had our first competition in December, then we had one in January and now we have one so like it’s crunch time,” Elizabeth Muldoon, a member of the Krypton Kittens, said. “I think there’s a scrimmage there and then we progressively have more and more practice until we finally get to come here and do the robot games and it was worth it in the end, we get to meet so many new people.”…
