Man arrested after firing gunshots in Chambersburg neighborhood

A 20-year-old Carlisle man is in Franklin County Jail, denied bail, after he allegedly fired a dozen gunshots in a Chambersburg neighborhood, according to court documents filed by borough police.

Nasir Yusef Iman, formerly of Chambersburg, is charged with two counts each of illegal gun possession and carrying a firearm without a license and 12 counts of recklessly endangering another person, according to court records.

Police found 12 spent 9mm shell casings after responding to a report of shots fired on Feb. 11 in the area of Butternut Lane and West Washington Street in Chambersburg’s west end, according to court documents. A bullet fragment was also found nearby in the Franklin County Housing Authority…
