A 9-year-old girl who drowned in Hersheypark’s wave pool last summer didn’t know how to swim and was afraid of deep water, according to coroner’s reports reviewed by PennLive last week.
Sophia Subedi had only ever been in small “kiddie” pools before July 24, when she and the daughter of a family friend took off for the wave pool at the Boardwalk, according to a report from the Dauphin County Coroner’s Office.
