Carlisle man moved to tears as he admits killing woman in devastating sidewalk crash

A Carlisle man will serve at least three years in prison for striking and killing a woman out for a walk downtown with her husband last spring.

Moved to tears as facts of the case were read into the record, Martin Brinton admitted to causing the May 23 crash that ended with his Toyota sedan wedged against a building at the corner of South Hanover and West Pomfret streets.
