Bald eagle dies from lead poisoning in York County

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A Midstate animal rescue urged sportsmen to avoid lead bullets after a bald eagle died from lead poisoning.

Raven Ridge Wildlife Center took the eagle from the Pennsylvania Game Commission, which found it in York County, the rescue said. The bird had difficulty standing and did not try to flee when approached.
