Man threatens to kill family with hammer, knife in Perry County: affidavit

PERRY COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — State police say a man charged at a Perry County family’s home earlier this week, wielding a hammer and a knife and stating, “I’m gonna murder y’all.”

Jonathan Lyter, 43, was charged with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault, stalking, terroristic threats and related charges.

Lyter followed a woman back to her residence in Oliver Township on Feb. 16, according to an affidavit of probable cause. The woman told police that Lyter threatened to kill her, her daughters and her boyfriend…
