Homicide charges dropped against Harrisburg man who fired gun after fatal shooting

A man originally charged with criminal homicide as a 17-year-old in a 2023 Harrisburg shooting will be released in the coming days, according to a sentencing order signed Friday.

Krisshon Giles, 19, of Lemoyne, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors for firing his gun July 24, 2023 — the night two others fatally shot Richone Strain-Hankerson outside John Harris High School.

Dauphin County Judge Ed Marsico sentenced Giles to one to two years in prison and ordered him to serve three more years on supervised release. Incarcerated since October 2023, Giles is expected to be released imminently…
