Will Pa.’s next snowstorm stick around for weeks? Here’s what forecasts say

In late January, snow from the previous winter storm stuck around for weeks, with piles of rock-hard snow and ice creating hazards. With another one on the way, will this one be a repeat of the last?

From the looks of it, no.

One of the main issues with the last storm was the consistently below-freezing temperatures, which, of course, kept the snow on the ground much longer. Forecasts from the storm in January called for temperatures well into the negatives, but this time around, that snow may turn to slush a little sooner…
