In the days since the closing of the Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center, city officials and HMAC leadership have presented very different narratives.
The venue, which had been temporarily closed for maintenance and repair issues, announced Feb. 17 it would remain closed as the city had not renewed its health and mercantile licenses.
What is agreed between all parties is that HMAC owes the city several years worth of unpaid amusement taxes, levied on millions of dollars of ticket sales.
