YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Three family members are behind bars after two children were found to have been tortured, having been kept inside, confined in a cage and car seat and denied dental care for years, according to charging documents.
The Newberry Township Police Department filed charges Wednesday against the children’s biological mother, Ashley Cardona, 31; the children’s grandmother, Lori Cardona, 53; and the children’s uncle, Michael Cardona, 29.
