HARRISBURG, Pa. — Harrisburg is making strides in public safety, following an increase in homicides in 2024.
This week, city officials announced a significant decrease in homicides in its 2025 Annual Police Report. According to the document, the Harrisburg Police Bureau responded to 21 homicides in 2024. By 2025, that number dropped to 14 homicides, representing a one-third decrease year over year.
