LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. — Union Township leaders have clarified they are redefining the term “domestic fowl,” not regulating egg sales or limiting backyard chickens.
Dozens of concerned farmers packed a meeting in Union Township this week after word spread that new regulations could impact egg sales and chicken farming. By night’s end, township officials said those fears were based on a misunderstanding.
