Pair of Penn State Wrestling Commits, Signees Become State Champs

Four Penn State wrestling commits and signees competed this weekend at the PIAA State Championships in Hershey, and the two who were expected to win state championships did just that.

At 121, Norwin’s Landon Sidun capped off a 51-1 campaign by winning his second state title, tech-falling Connellsville’s Tommy Gretz 17-0.

At 215, future Penn State heavyweight Elijah Brown only got one point in his state championship match, but that point was enough to win it against Garnet Valley’s Paxton Hunt. It was Brown’s second consecutive state championship, and had Sidun not gotten injured last February, there’s a good chance this would have been his third straight…
