Pennsylvania trooper crashes while responding to false shooting call

SOUTH MIDDLETON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) — One person is in the hospital after a Pennsylvania State Police trooper crashed while responding to a false shooting call, according to a state police spokesperson.

A call came in after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday reporting gunshots at a residence on the 300 block of Fairview Street in South Middleton Township, said Trooper Megan Frazer. As troopers responded, one crashed into an unrelated vehicle, sending its driver to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Frazer said.
