A former Fairview Township tax collector was sentenced Tuesday to 20 months in federal prison for embezzling over $400,000 in public funds.
Karen McGinnis, 46, of Luzerne County, was the Fairview Township tax collector from March 2023 to January 2025, the U.S. District Court said in a press release.
