DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — More than $61,000 worth of electronics were stolen from Verizon when fake information was used to access accounts at different central Pennsylvania stores, according to investigators.
Felony theft charges were filed Monday against 25-year-old Sauro Tosti for allegedly using fake information to either open or gain access to Verizon customers’ accounts to obtain dozens of Apple Watches and phones, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Tosti allegedly used the fraudulent information at different Verizon stores, including stores in Lower Paxton Township, Swatara Township, Silver Spring Township, and through the Verizon Digital Chat Store.
