Mayor Sandie Walker swore in Marcus Harmon as the newest member of the York City Police Department on February 26, 2024. Harmon was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Seoul, Tokyo, and Ridgefield, Connecticut. He graduated from Pace University with a business degree and served with the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department since 2020, including assignments in the Seventh District and a federal task force. Harmon attended the ceremony with his wife, Madelyn, and their son, Callan.
