Harrisburg man crashes into several cars during high-speed chase: police

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — A Harrisburg man reportedly led officers on a high-speed chase on Monday afternoon in Lower Swatara Township, according to the police.

Just before 5 p.m., Lower Swatara Township police attempted to pull over a vehicle with a “dead tag” at the 2200 block of West Harrisburg Pike. The driver, later identified as Leonard Evans III, fled at a high speed into Middletown Borough, police said.

The chase ended near the 100 block of East Main Street after Evans allegedly smashed into multiple cars before trying to run away, when he was tased and taken into custody…
